Disaster Services, American Red Cross
Wayne and Ann Smith did not hesitate to fill out the Satisfaction Survey they received from the Red Cross. In February 2009, a wind storm blew over a tree that ripped into the power lines pulling the meter boxes from the wall on the outside of their apartment. They couldn't remain in their home due to the damage and the cold temperatures. To their surprise, the Red Cross arrived on the scene to provided snacks, hot coffee, water and soft drinks to not only them but, also to the emergency responders. Wayne and Ann were also given a bag of toiletries (Comfort Kits) and a voucher so they could stay in a hotel. Wayne and Ann wanted to convey their gratitude to the Red Cross on how much they appreciated the help they received and even signed their name on the Satisfaction Survey which was sent to them as a follow up.

Preschool Readiness, Heart of the Valley YMCA
My son Lucas has been attending the YMCA preschool for two years, and we are pleased by his strengths and overwhelming abilities in education thus far. The school is very accommodating and informative as well. Because of his experience here he is more than ready for kindergarten. He is beginning to read and write ahead of schedule. Most importantly he loves coming to school. The activities are all age appropriate for each class with enough play time to exercise a young child’s energy and mind. Thank you so much to the staff at the YMCA you've been a blessing!
